Moyale Barracks Sports Trustees on Friday ask the people and companies to help different sports teams in the Barracks.
The call made by Professor Wales Singini during the get together gathering at Officer’s Mess.
Singini started by apologizing to People the way Moyale Barracks football team performed last season.
“First of all let me apologize to you my fellow sports lovers that last season as Moyale Fc we did not perform well to the point that it risked us up to relegation, this is not good at all since, when we are talking of Superleague in the north we are talking of Moyale Barracks, some teams come and go but, Moyale outstands.”
“We are all here responsible to help these teams to do better and your contribution will mean a lot to us,”
Singini who is also the Vice Chancellor at Mzuzu University breaks the news that as Trustees they are organizing a party for the Northern Region Women football team champions, Moyale Women team as part of motivating them.
In his remarks Moyale Barracks Commanding Officer Lieutenant Col Helbert Lemani thank everyone who attended the gathering.
“Let me recognize your presence here and we as Moyale Barracks we don’t take it for granted, Moyale teams are not for Lemani, Moyale Barracks teams are for everyone here we can do better if you, our civilian friends and us work together to help these teams, Moyale has many Sports teams which are doing better comparing to other military bases,”
He then encouraged the people who attended the gathering to feel free at any time when they want to visit the Barracks.
Many people attended the gathering that includes; Mr Goodwin Mvula, Peter Mimba, Augustine Harawa (AKA ATOM) Reserve Bank of Malawi Regional Manager, SULOM Executive Member Henry Banda and many other notable people.
