In a significant development for Malawian football, Moyale Barracks FC Head Coach Prichard Mwansa has been appointed as the Second Assistant Coach for the Malawi National Football Team, known as the Flames.
This appointment is effective immediately, adding new depth to the national team’s coaching staff as they prepare for upcoming tournaments.
Mwansa CAF B Coach will join the Flames’ coaching team under the leadership of Head Coach Kalisto Pasuwa, with Peter Mponda serving as the First Assistant Coach. This collaboration brings together experienced and dedicated coaches with a shared vision of elevating Malawian football.
In response to his appointment, Mwansa expressed his gratitude and excitement for the new role.

“It’s a great honor for me and for the Moyale family. I will always respect my Head Coach Kalisto Pasuwa and my First Assistant Coach Peter Mponda. This is national work, and our duty is to perform to the highest level.”
Mwansa’s journey with the Malawi National Team began earlier when he served as an Assistant Coach for the Malawi Under-20 team.
