Moyale Barracks FC suffered a crushing 2-0 defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened Chitipa United in a TNM Super League match played at Karonga Stadium.

Head coach Prichard Mwansa expressed his disappointment with the loss, calling it a “painful defeat” and pointing to an early concession as a critical setback.

“It’s a painful defeat for us as we were aiming to secure a spot in the top eight. My boys went down early, as we conceded an early goal in the first half, which affected our momentum,” Mwansa said.

Looking ahead, Mwansa remains hopeful, emphasizing the importance of their final game against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

“We are playing our last game this weekend against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, and we will capitalize on our home advantage to ensure we stay in the top eight,” he added confidently.

Moyale Barracks currently sit in 8th place on the table with 39 points from 29 games.

The 2024 TNM Super League season will conclude this weekend on Saturday, December 7, with all matches kicking off simultaneously across various venues.
