Moyale Barracks FC head coach, Prichard Mwansa, has expressed his determination to finish the TNM Super League season on a high note by ensuring his team secures a top-eight finish.
Speaking on Tuesday ahead of their crucial midweek clash against Chitipa United at Karonga Stadium, Mwansa emphasized the importance of winning their remaining games to achieve their goal. Reflecting on last season’s disappointment, where Moyale failed to make it into the top eight, Mwansa vowed not to let history repeat itself.
“We are ready, and I have told my boys to deliver results. We failed to make it into the top eight last season, but I cannot sit back and watch the team fail again this time,” he said.
Acknowledging the challenge posed by their opponents, Mwansa praised Chitipa United but confidently declared his team’s intent to come out victorious.
“Chitipa is a good side, but at the end of the day, Moyale will take all three points. We drew 1-1 in the first round, but now it’s time to make amends. Come rain or sunshine, we are going to beat Chitipa tomorrow,” Mwansa asserted.
With two games remaining, Moyale Barracks sits in 7th position on the log with 39 points from 28 games, while Chitipa United finds themselves struggling in the relegation zone, second from the bottom with 23 points from an equal number of games.
The match presents a critical opportunity for Moyale to solidify their top-eight ambitions while Chitipa fights for survival.
