Madam Esther Mbalakumwendo, wife of the 101 Brigade Commander, encouraged fellow wives of Moyale Barracks soldiers to incorporate sports into their daily lives.
She made this appeal during a meeting held at the Wilson Square parade ground.

“This is not the Moyale Barracks I once knew, where we would regularly engage in various sports,” Mbalakumwendo said.
“I urge you, my fellow women, to focus on including sports in our daily routines. Let’s go out and participate in aerobics, netball, volleyball, football, and other activities to keep our bodies fit.”

She emphasized that Moyale Barracks has a strong sporting culture, making it easy for the wives to adopt this lifestyle.
“Let’s embrace the sporting spirit that Moyale Barracks is known for, just as our husbands do,” she added.

The event concluded with a welcoming ceremony for Madam Esther Kanthiti, wife of the 2IC, at 3MR.
