Kaning’ina number 1, Commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Thokozani Chazema, broke the news that he is moving out from Moyale Barracks to Malawi Defence Force Headquarters at Kamuzu Barracks in Lilongwe.
Chazema who has been promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff at Malawi Defence Force Headquarters, paid visit to Moyale Barracks football team on Tuesday during training sessions to say his last goodbyes to the team.
“I have learnt alot from Moyale football team in as far as football is concerned, I once served as General Secretary of the club and other positions, I am going but my heart is still with the team. It pains me allot when the team loses games, and I will never stop following Moyale Barracks Fc,” Chazema said.
He urged players to continue being disciplined as it is the most powerful tool in sports.
“Let’s behave well as discipline is the most, powerful tool to progress in sports. Let’s display excellent mannerisms to the coming Commanding officer. I know him, he is a man who loves sports as well, support him by bringing results,” Chazema said.
Team Manager for Moyale Fc Major Flao Mwale thanked the CO for the help he has been rendering to the team every time they asked for help.
“Honestly the team will miss you Sir, thank you for the help, the heart that you were showing to the team everytime we ask for help, and surely your absence will leave a gap at Moyale,” Mwale said
Head Coach WOII Nicolas Mhango thanked Chazema and wished him a safe and good life.
“We are sad that you are leaving without giving you something to remember as a team, no trophy, no cup. But don’t forget us wherever you are going Sir. You loved Moyale very much and keep on fighting for more Sponsors to come as you have already done with Medhealth and CIC company, as a team we wish you a good health and travel mercies Sir,” Mhango said.
Moyale Barracks is on position 10 after playing 7 games and bagging 10 points in the Tnm Superleague 16 teams summit table.
