Moyale Barracks Taekwondo sensation Joseph Nyasulu has once again raised Malawi’s flag high after winning a gold medal at an international Taekwondo championship in Zimbabwe.

Popularly known as JK MALAWI, Nyasulu produced an outstanding performance throughout the competition, defeating several opponents on his way to the top podium and adding another international medal to his growing collection.

The achievement is another major milestone for the Moyale Barracks athlete, who has consistently represented Malawi with distinction in regional and international competitions. His latest triumph further cements his reputation as one of the country’s leading Taekwondo fighters.

Speaking after the victory, JK MALAWI expressed gratitude to his coaches, teammates, sponsors and supporters for their continued encouragement, saying the gold medal is a result of hard work, discipline and determination.

The Zimbabwe tournament forms part of his preparations for future international assignments, including the road towards the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where he hopes to compete and represent Malawi on the world stage.

His success has also brought pride to Moyale Barracks FC and the wider Malawi sporting fraternity, with many describing the gold medal as a sign of the country’s growing potential in martial arts.
