Moyale Barracks Commanding Officer Lieutenant Col Herbert Lemani has given his blessings to the Unit Athletics team ahead of Inter – Unit Cross Country to take place on Friday 19th January 2024.

Lieutenant Col Lemani wished the team well before they travelled to Zomba where this Year Inter Unit Cross Country to take place.

“I wish you all the best as you are travelling to Zomba, I know Moyale that you are not going just to participate but to defend and bring the trophy home. I am encouraging you to go and word extra hard, let’s fly the 3MR flag high and am ready to give you any support you want,” said Lemani.

In his remarks Warrant Officer Class II Always Zingire who is also the Coach, thanked the CO for the support he is giving to the team.

“First of all let me thank you Bwana CO for the support you are giving us especially the time you are giving us to train, as a team we promise to bring and defend the trophy this year,” said Zingire.

This year the Tournament will take place at Gymkana Club in Zomba.

Every year Malawi Defence Force organize the Inter Unit Cross Country that involves all Military Barracks in the country and Moyale Barracks are the defending champions after winning the trophy at Mzuzu Golf Club in 2023.
