The Malawi National Council of Sports, in partnership with the Athletics Association of Malawi (AAM), is today (Saturday) hosting the 42.195-kilometre Blantyre Marathon.

The Malawi Defence Force (MDF) is well represented at the event, with four talented athletes from Moyale Barracks joining the military team. The athletes Ndacha Mcherenje, Fostina Mbemba, Linda Mwankhwawa, and Prince Mphepo will compete in this year’s marathon as part of the official MDF lineup.

This marks the seventh edition of the Blantyre Marathon since its inception, continuing the tradition of promoting endurance, sportsmanship, and national unity through athletics.
