Malawi National Football Team Coach Patrick Mabedi visited Moyale Barracks FC’s training session at Mzuzu Stadium on Tuesday.

After meeting with the team’s technical panel, the former Flames defender explained that he aims to build a strong relationship with club coaches, as they spend more time with the players.

“I’m here to observe the players and attend their training session,” Mabedi said. “We often only see players during games, not in training, where we can spot talent and interact with the coach to share knowledge and ideas.”

Mabedi emphasized the importance of a good relationship between the coach and the technical panel, noting that the head coach often bears the brunt of criticism when things go wrong.

Moyale Barracks Coach Prichard Mwansa welcomed Mabedi’s visit, saying it was encouraging and provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from each other.

Moyale Barracks FC is set to face Mighty Mukuru Wanderers on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium in the TNM Super League.
