Head Coach, Victor Chingoka has sent a message to Moyale Barracks faithfuls to come and support the team when they face Mafco FC this afternoon at the Mzuzu Stadium.
Moyale Barracks are fighting for their lives in the elite league as they sit in the relegation zone with 31 points, are taking on their brothers in arms, Mafco who are also hunting for survival.
Chingoka said the team has been preparing well for the game and they will try to do everything possible to chalk full points and climb the ladders on the table.
“We want the supporters to turn in numbers. As Moyale Barracks, we will stay in the league despite the fact that we are not in a good position,” he said.
Moyale Barracks lost to the Salima based Soldiers in the first round and the team will be looking for both points and revenge.
A drubbing 4-1 win over Chitipa United gave the team the hopes of survival and winning today’s game will see the team moving to 11th with 34 points.
“We don’t have excuses,” said Chingoka. “Our preparations have been going well and ended well. We have all the players available for this game.
“We have spoken to the players that this is our deciding game and the results will give us direction. The players are well aware of this.”
The team returns to Mzuzu Stadium after two months and Rumphi Stadium has been the home ground for the said months.
After playing against Mafco FC which is under the titulage of our former assistant coach, Prichard Mwansa, Moyale Barracks will face Red Lions in the last game of the season.
