With two games to finish the season Moyale Barracks Sisters have won this year’s Northern Region Fam Women Football League after beating Bico Optical 9-1 on Saturday in a game played at Chibavi ground.

Top player Chipo Ngwenya scored seven goals while two goals came from Ireen Albert and Ruth Gama to seal the victory for Moyale Barracks who won the league a season ago and are topping the standings with 31 points from twelve games with two games left no team can displace them at the summit.

Bridget Chirwa assistant Coach for Moyale Barracks was delighted with the win which means they are the champions while indicating they had a good work plan for this season which was to win all games in the first round as most teams come hard in the second round.

Moyale Barracks triumph means they have also qualified for national phase and last won the league in 2021 and finished as runners up last season.
