Flames Head coach Mario Marinica includes Moyale Barracks hitman Raphael Phiri into a 28-man provisional squad that is expected to go into camp on Sunday in preparation for TotalEnergies African Nations Championship Algeria 2022 second round qualifier against Mozambique later this month.
Phiri who netted six for Moyale this season is going with Loyd Njaliwa who is the regular national team player.
Commenting on this Moyale Barracks football team General secretary Mike Chimwala said it’s a good development to the team.
“We are happy that now we contribute two players to the national team, and am sure Phiri will make it into the final squad, it’s a good development to the team as well and we are looking forward to see some from Moyale to the squad in future,” said Chimwala.
Phiri last called to flames camp while playing for Government Civo service United.
