Two bullets for Moyale Barracks football team were enough to gun down Dedza Salima Sugar Dynamos.

The 2-0 win, for Moyale was a show of pride to welcome the New 3MR Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Peter Ng’oma.

The game ended goalless in the first half despite both side missing crucial chances.

Charles Nkhoma opened the score sheet in the 54th minutes with an assist from Brown Magaga, Nkhoma with a header did not take time but give his side a lead.

Gasten Simkonda, seconds before the final whistle in 93rd minutes added another one a ball from Henry Misinjo who tapped to the box. Simkonda Volley to the net was a sure 2-0 win to Dedza citizens.

Speaking after the game, Coach for Moyale Barracks Nicolas Mhango said that he told his boys to give a gift to our new Commanding officer.

“We dedicate the win to our new Commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Peter Ng’oma, and thank to my boys for the work well done. I told them before the game that two goals will be enough to beat Dedza and they did exactly what I told them to do,” Mhango said.

In the other side Gilbert Chirwa coach for Dedza said they played well but missed regrettable chances.

“We played well and held Moyale up to the end of the first half. We missed some chances and lack of concentration let us down. We have more games to come, we will work on our weakness areas,” Said Chirwa.

George Luiz Nyirenda voted Man of the Match.

With a win Moyale has moved up to Position 4 from 10 before the kickoff of the game now with 13 points, while Dedza is on 12th position with 10 points both teams have played 9 games.
