Moyale Barracks Basketball Team are the 2026 Northern Zone Basketball League (NOZOBAL) Champions after a commanding 67–57 victory over Mzuzu Pistons on Saturday afternoon.

The Kaning’ina-based outfit produced a disciplined and determined performance to complete a back-to-back win over the Pistons, sealing the title in style and affirming their dominance in the Northern Region.

From the opening tip-off, Moyale showed intent and composure, controlling key moments of the game despite stiff resistance from their opponents in what proved to be a tightly contested encounter.

The triumph marks the culmination of a consistent and hard-fought campaign, with Moyale maintaining focus from the start of the season to the final whistle.

Speaking after the historic win, the team’s head coach Aaron Chimpeni applauded his players for their discipline and commitment to the game plan.
