Moyale Barracks Commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Peter Overton Ng’oma has encouraged his players to put a gallant fight and win against Silver Strikers on Sunday in FDH Cup match at Mzuzu Stadium.

Ng’oma has reminded the Moyale Barracks fc players the need to rekindle what the club had has been known of as the Lions of Kaning’ina have always been known as cup specialists.

“I am here to give support and encourage the team as they are facing Silver Strikers in a cup game, We are not underdogs so I want the players to prove that we are the best team as we have been known as cup specialists, I want them to rekindle that,” said Ng’oma.

In his remarks, Team Manager Maxford Kuwonela commended the Commanding officer for the word of encouragement saying this will help the team to work extra hard and proceed to another level.

The club’s captain, Gasten Simkonda, has since promised the CO that every player is ready for the showdown and bag the victory to send them through to another level.

“First of all, on behalf of my fellow players let me thank the CO for coming to encourage us, we are promising that we will do everything possible to win today’s game come rain or sunshine, We know that the only thing to pay back to the Barracks is to win this game,” said Simkonda.

Moyale booted out Iponga United while Silver Strikers defeated Ntaja FC to sail through to the round of 16 of FDH Bank cup.
